Ashford Castle has been named as Ireland’s Hotel of the Year for 2017.

The award is considered one of the most prestigious in Irish Hospitality and winning the ” AA Hotel of the Year ” caps a remarkable comeback for Ashford Castle which has bounced back from the economic downturn .

Other award winners include Rolf’s Country House in Baltimore Cork which took the ” AA  Guest Accommodation of the Year ” title  ” while the ” AA Courtesy & Care Award ” went to the Talbot Hotel in Stillorgan Dublin.

In 2015 Ashford Castle was voted the World’s Best Hotel by the luxury travel group Virtuoso.

Currently rooms in Ashford start at 465 euros per night -rising to 4000 euros for the Presidential suite .
