Reports  doing the rounds today in Dublin are saying that CITIGROUP are preparing to move 900 jobs from London to Dublin as part of the groups planning for Britains exit from Europe .

CITIGROUP already have a large operation in Dublin employing over 2500 people in the FSC in the city .

Citi are not alone in planning an exit from the UK following Brexit .A number of major large operations are actively looking to Ireland as their new ” passport ” into the EU .

a number of auctioneers in the capital are on the hunt for primes office space in Dublin ,however there is an acute shortage of this space in Dublin and this shortage could result in these firms looking to Frankfurt or Paris .

CITIGROUP are one of the biggest banks in the world ,with $1.8 trillion in assets and about 240,000 staff .

if this move to Dublin takes place it is anticipated that over 50% of the U.K. Staff will move from London with the balance coming from the Irish labour pool .
