Carlow and Fermoy to gain from Topaz and McDonald’s new 230 Jobs

2 new motorway service stations in Carlow and Cork will created over 230 new jobs .

Topaz and McDonald’s are due to open the Carlow station on the M9 in March while the Cork station in Fermoy will open in September .

Both stations will be 24-hour service stations ,the project cost for both stations is in the region of €14m and over 100 construction jobs will be created in the development phase .

The stations will feature a food court offering which will include Topaz’s healthy ” food on the go ” Re.Store and its latest Mexican offering Cantina ,a McDonald’s restaurant and refreshment facilities with a large indoor seating area as well as an external picnic and seating area .

Once opened the services area will be in operation 24 hours a day with over 140 parking spaces at each station .

Recruitment is to begin straight away for the Carlow station and in June for the Fermoy station .
