Storm Barbara causing havoc to returnees travel plans

Storm Barbara is causing havoc with plans to return home to Ireland for the holidays .

Irish Ferries have confirmed that it has cancelled 6 of this Friday’s crossings

An update statement on the Irish  Ferries website reads ” Irish Ferries regrets  to advise that due to adverse weather conditions on the Irish Sea ,the 08:45hrs Swift Fast Craft sailing is cancelled .Passengers can be accommodated on the 08;05hrs Ulysses Cruise Ferry .

Meanwhile the 11;50,4;45 and 5;15pm from Hollyhead to Dublin on Friday have been cancelled.

On the Flights front there is concern about the impact of fog which is in place across southern England and British Airways have issued a statement that this fog is affecting some flights to and from London airports today .

It appears that the journey home this Christmas for our Diaspora will be daunting as Storm Barbara hits Ireland and the U.K. and we strongly advise that you check your travel providers website to check the status of your Flight or Ferry .
