Your future in Laois

Back 4 Good – Your Future in Laois are delighted with the response to our new marketing campaign among the Laois Diaspora and the response we are getting from family and friends across the county who are reaching out to the Laois diaspora with information on opportunities available in Laois .

Our Facebook page has witnessed a significant increase in followers from overseas who are looking for independent advice on living and working in Laois .

We are also experiencing a solid interest for skilled professionals throughout the EU looking for information on Laois and options for them in the County .

For those looking to live and work in Laois here is a little summary .

County Laois located in the heart of the midlands, the county’s compact size makes it ripe for exploration. Laois has so much to offer if you are coming to live and work in the county including a range of activities from excellent golf courses to horse riding to fishing.

Laois has two stunning rivers flowing through it, the River Nore and the River Barrow both providing excellent angling.

Laois has benefited from the economic growth that Ireland has experienced over the past three years and opportunities exist in nearly all towns in the county including Port Laoise, Abbeyleix, Mountmellick, Mountrath, Durrow and Stradbally.

Indeed Stradbally which is the home of Electric Picnic is a perfect example of how Laois is developing into a enterprise driven County. A recent study has shown that the event is worth 16million euro to the town resulting in significant jobs associated with the planning and managing of the event each year.

Job opportunities are strong if you hold the relevant qualifications and currently a large number of roles are available online.

Back 4 Good – Your future in Laois had a meeting this week with Local TD and Minister for the diaspora Mr Sean Fleming and we are delighted that the Minister was very positive about our proposals to integrate Back 4 Good within the Irish State system and roll out the programme in 2024.

The Minister understands that the talent among our diaspora is available to return home to Laois and Ireland if the conditions are developed to overcome some of the challenges presented currently .

If you want to get involved in setting -up your own enterprise when you return to Laois a range of incentives are available in the county to assist you.

Register today with your cv to cat@back4good.ie and we will take it from there for you.
