Back 4 Good – Your future in Ireland – is sourcing an experienced Deputy Nursing Officer for a leading care facility in Churchtown, Dublin. This role is ideal for a dynamic, compassionate, and highly skilled nursing professional eager to advance their leadership career in a supportive and progressive environment.
As Deputy Nursing Officer, you will play a crucial role in the delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality nursing care. Reporting directly to the Director of Nursing, you will support the daily management of clinical operations, lead nursing staff, and ensure compliance with all relevant HIQA regulations and best practice standards.
Your responsibilities will include supervising staff nurses and healthcare assistants, managing staffing levels and shift rotas, conducting clinical audits, maintaining accurate care plans and documentation, and ensuring a person-centred approach to care is upheld throughout the service. You will also assist in mentoring and professional development initiatives to maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with the NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland)
- Minimum 5 years post-registration experience with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior nursing role
- Strong understanding of HIQA standards and regulatory compliance
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
