Job Title: Physiotherapist

Location.  Dublin, Cork, Galway Waterford

Job Purpose
The Physiotherapist will assess, diagnose, and treat patients with physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, disability, or aging. The role involves developing personalized treatment plans to restore movement and function while promoting overall health and wellbeing. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team in a [hospital/clinic/community/sports facility/private practice] setting.

Key Responsibilities
1. Patient Care
– Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ physical conditions using clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice.
– Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, including manual therapy, exercise programs, electrotherapy, and education.
– Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary.

2. Clinical Duties
– Provide physiotherapy interventions for musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, or cardiovascular conditions.
– Use therapeutic equipment (e.g., ultrasound, TENS, traction) safely and effectively.
– Maintain accurate and confidential patient records in compliance with **CORU** (Ireland’s regulatory body) and **ISCP** (Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists) standards.

3. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
– Work with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic care.
– Refer patients to other specialists when required.

4. Health Promotion & Education
– Educate patients and families on injury prevention, self-management, and lifestyle modifications.
– Participate in community outreach or workplace wellness programs (if applicable).

5. Professional Development
– Stay updated with advancements in physiotherapy through CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
– Adhere to **CORU** registration requirements and **ISCP** guidelines.

6. Administrative Tasks
– Manage caseloads efficiently, ensuring timely documentation and reporting.
– Comply with organizational policies, health and safety regulations, and GDPR.

Qualifications & Requirements
– **Essential:**
– Degree in Physiotherapy from a recognized institution.
– Current registration with **CORU** (mandatory to practice in Ireland).
– Membership with the **ISCP** (preferred).
– Clinical experience in [relevant area, e.g., sports rehab, pediatrics, geriatrics, etc.].
– Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Desirable
– Postgraduate qualifications or specialization (e.g., musculoskeletal, neurology, respiratory).
– Experience working in the Irish healthcare system (HSE/private sector).
