Disney Magic docks in Dublin Port

The famous Disney -themed cruise ship Disney Magic has docked in Dublin today .

The impressive luxury liner arrived  at 4am .The ship carries 2700 passengers and has a crew of over 900 is 300 metres long and 106 feet wide ,is has 11 decks on board and is one of four Disney-themed liners .

The ship is a must for Disney fanatics and includes a statue of Goofy hanging on the hull with the ship’s horn playing the first notes from ” When you wish upon a star ”

You only have a limited time to see this and need to travel down to Tom Clarke (East Link ) bridge before the vessel sails out at 11pm

Dublin Port has become one of the most popular ports for cruise liners .In 2016 112 cruise liners visited the port .

The luxury cruise liner Celebrity Eclipse made her maiden call to Dublin Port this morning .

Passengers were greeted on arrival to the sights and sounds of a Celtic themed welcome spectacle of music and dance before disembarking for a day shopping,sightseeing and exploring in Irelands capital .

Key senior employees from the cruise industry are visiting Dublin including a delegation of 400 cruise industry leaders who will enjoy a VIP experience in Dublin.

The Ship is a remarkable structure with 13 restaurants and cafes and one of the largest wine collections at sea .This is in addition to a spa and solarium,the celebrated Lawn Club ,including half an acre of real grass on the top deck, with hot glass blowing demonstrations,swimming pools,casino,theatre basketball court art gallery and much more on the 17 deck luxury liner .

With over 4000 tourists the liner is the first of over 130 cruise ships that will dock in Dublin Port bringing over 200,000 tourists to Dublin and surrounding areas this season .

In addition Celebrity Eclipse has chosen Dublin as a home port for 2018 so no longer will you have to fly out of the country to start your cruise you will be able to set sail from Dublin Port .
