Amazon Creates 200 New Jobs in Dublin
Amazon has begun recruiting for 200 new frontline positions across its Dublin operations, delivering a welcome employment boost for the capital.
The new opportunities will be based at the company’s fulfilment centre in Baldonnell and its two Dublin delivery stations. Amazon says the roles are available across full-time, part-time and fixed-term contracts, giving applicants a range of working options.
Successful candidates will receive a new minimum starting rate of €17.10 per hour from 27 September. This represents an increase of 65 cent per hour and places Amazon’s entry rate €2.95 above Ireland’s national minimum wage. It is also €1.70 higher than the Living Wage benchmark.
The company says its starting rate for frontline employees in Ireland has increased by approximately 27% since 2022. Eligible staff will also receive free Amazon Prime membership alongside the company’s existing employee benefits package.
This is Amazon’s second recruitment drive involving 200 Dublin positions during 2026. The company says its Baldonnell fulfilment centre now supports more than 700 jobs, underlining the continuing importance of logistics, warehousing and distribution to the Dublin employment market.
Darragh Kelly, Amazon’s Regional Director for Logistics in the UK and Ireland, said the pay rise demonstrated the company’s continuing commitment to investing in the frontline employees who serve customers every day. He added that the higher starting rate, free Prime membership and existing benefits create one of the sector’s most competitive overall compensation packages.
