Job Summary
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Clinical Psychologists to join our clients team in Ireland. The successful candidates will provide high-quality psychological assessment, diagnosis, and therapeutic interventions to clients across various age groups and settings. This role involves working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to support individuals experiencing mental health difficulties, emotional distress, or behavioral challenges. The ideal candidates will have strong clinical skills, a commitment to evidence-based practice, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic healthcare environment.

 

Key Responsibilities
1. Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis
– Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments using standardized tools and clinical interviews.
– Formulate diagnoses based on assessment findings and develop individualized treatment plans.

2. Therapeutic Interventions
– Deliver evidence-based psychological therapies (e.g., CBT, DBT, ACT, psychodynamic therapy) to individuals, groups, and families.
– Provide crisis intervention and support for clients in acute distress.

3. Multidisciplinary Collaboration
– Work closely with psychiatrists, social workers, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
– Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and clinical supervision sessions.

4. Client Support and Advocacy
– Empower clients to achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their mental well-being.
– Advocate for clients’ needs within the healthcare system and community services.

5. Documentation and Reporting
– Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with professional and legal standards.
– Prepare reports for external agencies, courts, or other stakeholders as required.

6. Professional Development
– Stay updated with the latest research and developments in clinical psychology.
– Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and adhere to the ethical guidelines of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI).

7. Training and Supervision
– Provide supervision and mentorship to trainee psychologists and junior staff.
– Deliver training sessions to healthcare professionals and community organizations.

Qualifications and Experience
– A recognized postgraduate qualification in Clinical Psychology (e.g., Doctorate in Clinical Psychology or equivalent).
– Full accreditation with the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or eligibility for accreditation.
– Registration with the relevant regulatory body (e.g., CORU).
– Minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience in a clinical setting (preferred but not essential for newly qualified candidates).
– Proven experience in delivering evidence-based psychological therapies.
– Strong knowledge of mental health legislation and policies in Ireland.
