Job Description.
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled **Senior Games Developer** to join our innovative team in Ireland. As a Senior Games Developer, you will play a key role in leading the design, development, and implementation of high-quality games across multiple platforms, including PC, console, and mobile. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and drive technical excellence to deliver cutting-edge gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities
– Lead the design, development, and optimization of game systems and features using industry-standard tools and programming languages (e.g., C++, C#, Unity, Unreal Engine).
– Collaborate with game designers, artists, and other developers to translate creative visions into technical solutions.
– Architect and implement scalable, maintainable, and high-performance code for complex game systems.
– Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
– Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality standards and best practices are followed.
– Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring smooth gameplay and optimal performance across platforms.
– Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies, applying them to improve our games and development processes.
– Work closely with producers to estimate timelines, manage risks, and deliver projects on schedule.
– Prototype and iterate on new ideas to explore innovative gameplay mechanics and features.

Requirements
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
– 5+ years of professional experience in game development, with a strong portfolio showcasing shipped titles.
– Expertise in programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java.
– Extensive experience with game engines like Unity, Unreal Engine, or similar.
– Deep understanding of game architecture, physics, AI, and 3D graphics.
– Proven experience in optimizing games for performance across multiple platforms.
– Strong knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies.
– Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to tackling challenges.
– Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
– Passion for gaming and a deep understanding of game design principles and player experiences.

Preferred Skills (Optional but a Plus)
– Experience with VR/AR development.
– Knowledge of multiplayer and online game development, including networking and server-side programming.
– Familiarity with shader programming and graphics APIs (e.g., OpenGL, DirectX).
