Job Title: Senior Executive Planner

Our client is seeking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Executive Planner to play a key role in the delivery of innovative and sustainable planning solutions across one of Ireland’s fastest-growing counties.
Reporting to a Senior Officer, the Senior Executive Planner will be responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team, managing complex planning applications and contributing to the strategic planning and development framework . This will include input into the County Development Plan, Local Area Plans, and major infrastructural and urban regeneration projects.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, extensive experience in development management and forward planning, and a deep understanding of planning legislation, policy, and national guidelines. The post requires excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, along with a clear commitment to public service and sustainable development.
Essential Requirements:
- An honours degree (Level 8 NFQ) in Town Planning or equivalent recognised qualification.
- At least seven years’ relevant post-qualification planning experience.
- Membership (or eligibility for membership) of the Irish Planning Institute (IPI).
- Proven ability to manage teams and complex projects to tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with the Irish planning system and local government structures.
